About this Event

This year the Frost Fair will take place over 4 days from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th November from 10am to 5pm each day.



Held in The Old Palace, the Riding School, Stable Yard and heated marquees on Palace Green, the Christmas Frost Fair will feature:



Up to 200 stands of exciting, unusual and original gift ideas for all

Craft men & women showing off their skills

Fine Food Fair – come and taste the mouth watering array of foods and drink

Entertainment from Choirs, dancers and street entertainers throughout the fair

Tickets are £6 for adults, children aged 15 and under are free of charge, when accompanied by an adult. Buy your tickets online in advance of November 17th and save 10%.



Two entrances will be open for vehicles coming to the Frost Fair. Our normal visitor car park, AL9 5HX and Station Lodge (opposite Hatfield Railway Station) AL9 5AE. Pedestrians will also be asked to enter the Park via Station Lodge (opposite Hatfield Railway Station). Fore Street Lodge will be closed for the duration of the Frost Fair and there will be a diversion in place directing people through the gate at the top of Church Street.



There will be disabled car parking accessible from either entrance. This car parking will be a short distance away from the entrances to the Frost Fair.



All other car parking will be a 5-15 minute walk to the event, depending on the time of day you arrive and where you are parked. This parking will be on grass and can be affected by the weather. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking across the grass to the event. Assistance buggies will be in operation to assist the less able parked further away to get to the entrance of the event and then back to their cars. For those who have entered the Park via Station Lodge, there will be the option of shuttle buses running from the car park to the entrance of the event.



For those without advanced tickets, credit cards or cash will be accepted, although the correct change would be appreciated.



It is not recommended that you bring dogs, as they are not allowed in the Food Marquee or any of the buildings.



Tesco vouchers are not accepted for this event.
