This whiskey infused Scouse five piece have been locked away crafting an entirely new set and progressing their sound. Self proclaimed out-laws, Iron Witch have taken the concept of delta blues and turned it on it's head, bringing it's gritty undertones in to perfect harmony with the slow pace of sludge. You won't be able to resist indulging in every second of decadent, dirty note!



If their recorded output wasn’t testament enough, the one thing Iron Witch live for is putting on a powerful live show, full of all the drunken, drugged up hate they can muster.

The crushing weight of a world ending, a desolate hallucinatory trip through dystopia...



"This world implodes under the weight of its own gluttony. Dead, blackened structures house ghosts of the time before. Noxious gases fill the air, destructive chemicals plague the soil, the human mind markedly altered... Yet not all that sleeps is silent; from the dark awakened a visceral being that fed from the smoldering flames and dim glow of the sun...



Strip away the dirty robes and poor illusions, find yourself hideously revealed. Know you are an animal, your heartbeat a steady drum pulsing for atavistic pleasures. Cast your eye upwards from the fire, bear your teeth... Dance with us as this world crumbles into a mist of ashes"





PHLEFONYAAR

For those of you who didn't realise (because we didn't either), Phlefonyaar is named after one of the tribes that inhabit the banks of the black river in hell; the Phlegathon.



Describing their sound as "quite unlovely music", Paul March takes care of the iron lung, worrisome ramblings and thunder board side of the deal whilst Jim "Forrrr" Males takes on the live interpretative dance, bird calls and tremor beam contortion. All this, plus as much death/grindcore goodness you can get your hands on!

Downstairs bar open until 1am.



Like all our gigs this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge/Peterborough and London and we are just a 5 minute stroll from the station.
